UNLV McNair and Title III AANAPISI Scholars Summer Research Institute

The UNLV McNair and Title III AANAPISI Scholars Summer Research Institute offers eligible high-achieving students the opportunity to conduct research under the guidance of a faculty mentor. In addition to conducting research with mentors, the 10-week program provides students with a series of workshops and the opportunity to publish and present their research.

Qualifications

  • Active participants in the UNLV McNair Scholars Institute, AANAPISI Program, or AANAPISI-STEM Program
  • Have an overall 3.0 grade point average at UNLV.
  • Available to attend the summer research institute orientation and research workshops.

In order for students to be eligible for this research opportunity, they first need to apply to the AANAPISI Program. To be accepted, student must be a STEM major AND low-income/first-generation OR low-income/first-generation AANAPI (Asian American, Native American, Pacific Islander).
