Building Genome-to-Phenome Infrastructure for Regulating Methane in Deep and Extreme Environments (BuG ReMeDEE) is an interjurisdictional research & educational program for creating awareness about greenhouse gases. It is a platform to provide young minds to come and learn the basic tools and techniques of microbial genome editing and analyzing their phenotypes. The BuG ReMeDEE Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) will provide students with an opportunity to study microbes from extreme environments of 4850-ft deep mine & Yellowstone National Park before presenting their work at a state-wide conference.
Projects and training on Genome Editing, Data Mining, Microbial Fuel Cells, Machine Learning, Nanotechnology, Protein Engineering.
BuG ReMeDEE SURE activities are supported by NSF RII Track-2 FEC (#1736255)
