This intensive summer research experience provides mentoring and research experiences while allowing scholars to preview graduate school life. Students with a strong interest in graduate programs are particularly encouraged to apply as are those from populations traditionally underrepresented in graduate education. Scholars stay in suite-style housing, enjoy an on-campus meal plan, and have travel costs covered. The program also features workshops for GRE prep, writing a personal statement, creating a research poster, and more. Additionally, scholars get a chance to visit the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo, join intramural teams, rent bikes to explore Lincoln, attend outdoor adventures, and more!
Research areas include: Agricultural Sciences, Applied Unmanned Systems, Beneficial Insects, Bioenergy Systems, Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Landscape Resilience, Lasers and Optics, Minority Health Disparities, Molecular Plant Microbe Interaction, MRSEC (Materials
