2017-2018 NVSGC Graduate Research Opportunity Fellowship

The Nevada Space Grant Consortium (NVSGC) announces available funding for 2017-2018 Graduate Research Opportunity Fellowship (GROF).

Focus: to support independently conceived or designed research, or senior design projects by graduate students, in disciplines that will help advance missions and goals of NASA; thus, providing an opportunity to directly contribute to advancements in STEM-related areas of study. NASA fellowship opportunities are focused on innovation through projects that will generate measurable results or advancements in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math which will contribute to NASA’s current and future science and technology goals.

Qualifications

  • Full-time Masters or PhD STEM students
  • UNLV or UNR graduate students
  • Are or will be engaged in research or hands-on-project with faculty mentor(s) at UNR, UNLV, or DRI
  • U.S. Citizens

Award period: September 1, 2017 through May 31, 2018.

Compensation

$18,000 per academic year
