When it comes to working with students, my aim is to support them in finding a topic that is of interest to them, and then guiding to appropriate resources and helping them to understand it. I strive to find the right balance of allowing the student to explore the topic autonomously while never giving them so much freedom that they simply drift around without direction.
My background is in analytic number theory, but I’ve mentored projects in a number of other areas including algebra and probability. I also have a background in data science and machine learning.
